Healing Hope While Missing My Grandchildren

My first NYTimes article focuses on the hope that helps me cope with missing my grandchildren.

Subtitled “With my compromised immunity, blowing kisses through the window is an act of love and hope,” in this essay I share how lessons learned as a young mother in isolation helped me cope as a grandmother in isolation.

“What am I supposed to do with the yearning to be close to my grandbabies? That’s a luxury I won’t indulge. Cancer taught me to focus on hope that helps.”
